Panchakarma is the purification therapy used in Ayurvedic medicine . The word panchakarma means five actions and refers to five procedures intended to intensively cleanse and restore balance to the body, mind, and emotions. In another way we can also say that Panchakarma is a traditional Indian Ayurvedic treatment that is useful for the cleansing and detoxification of the mind, body and the spirit. The Panchakarma treatment for cleansing and detoxification of the body consists of a series of five therapeutic treatments that aid the removal of toxins from the body.
